Old Mazda 6 - What to do

    Hey All,

In a bit of a conundrum about what to do with an old car. An Aunt of mine has a 2004 Mazda 6 1.8 petrol with approx 130k miles on the clock. The car is NCT'd until the end of March & tax is just out but in reality, it's quite tired. I was hoping to get her something for it but I know that realistically, it's worth next to nothing, so it's just a case of what to do with it now.

She's living on the other side of the country and I'm looking to help her shift it. I don't know if it makes sense to put it on DoneDeal and have tyre kickers come round when it's worth so little. She'd prefer this didn't happen as she's not keen on having people calling over to test drive it etc. It's a frustrating situation as I'd take care of everything if I was closer. Would anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of it? I know how important it is to get a Certificate of Destruction if it goes off to scrap, so even if that happens, has anyone dealt with someone reputable when scrapping a car?

The car itself is in Dublin. Thanks in advance for any replies.
