I'm not familiar with the dream box but I have a VU Zero which is connected over network to my VU Duo2 box. It has all of the channels from the main box and I can watch recordings from the main box through the VU Zero. Perfect for a second TV (multiroom type setup).

The VU Zero only has a single satellite tuner. It would be possible to add a terrestrial USB tuner but you would not be able to watch one satellite channel while recording another so it would be fairly limited as a primary box.

Thanks for that, i may have to upgrade to a duo box so.
I started 2 threads by mistake, the other one has 2 pictures which show the connections on the back.

If the Mods would kindly merge the 2 threads please.

I would certainly recommend upgrading to a triple (2 Sat / 1 Ter) or quad (2 Sat / 2 Ter) tuner box. The Duo2 is a great box but it is at the more expensive end of the scale. The Tiviar box is very popular here on the forum at the moment and would have most (if not all) of the functionality you require.

Yeah i have to make a decision alright, that duo box is coming in over 300, not sure i'll fork out that at the moment, i'll have to see if the Missus is happy with the new setup first ha. It's certainty a thought for down the road, cheers.
