recover an previous version of a word doc?

    Hi all,
    probably an extreme long shot, but im working on a document and I accidently saved an older version over the latest. Im looking to know is there any way of retrieving a previous version of a word document? It was literally the version prior to the one I have just saved this morning.
    any help would be appreciated.
