I'm expecting 3 parcels from DHL, they were scheduled for delivery yesterday ("before 6pm")

My wife waited around the house all day and they never arrived, no phone call or email from DHL. At some stage last night they updated the tracking to say there was a problem with the delivery.

I rang DHL this morning and I was informed that the driver ran out of time. She apologized and told me that my delivery was going to be prioritized today and she was going to message the driver to get in contact with me.

I worked from home today to be here for the delivery, but it never showed up and the driver never got in contact.

As you can imagine, I'm not impressed. Is there any recourse to this? I'm going to need to work from home again tomorrow for the possibility of a delivery. I get deliverys somewhat regulary including from DHL so there isn't normally a problem getting deliveries.

It's very frustrating to pay for premium delivery of something, for it to take 3 days to get from China to Ireland and then it take DHL 3 days to get it from wherever their depot is to my house.

The recourse? Use UPS and AnPost in future.
