Emigrating To Spain- late 2019

    Hi All! I'm emigrating to Spain in late 2019 and I was wondering if anyone has any tips/advice for getting my stuff over there on a budget?
    I will be travelling alone and I am only bringing essentials but I will still have quite a bit of luggage and I think the high check-in costs of air travel may be prohibitive. Does anyone know the "ins and outs" of shipping and handling costs so I can work out what is the cheapest option for me?
    I know there is the new Cork-Santander ferry route but it doesn't accept foot passengers!
    Any advice would be much appreciated.
