Powder coating?

Hi, Buying a new car and would like to have black alloys, i can of course spring 1.5k for black alloys as an add on, however i prefer the design of the alu wheels. Would i be mad to consider getting them powder coated? Is powder coating as durable? How much to powder coat 4 alloys roughly? cheers

Buying a new car and would like to have black alloys, i can of course spring 1.5k for black alloys as an add on, however i prefer the design of the alu wheels. Would i be mad to consider getting them powder coated? Is powder coating as durable? How much to powder coat 4 alloys roughly?

bout 400 in rim solutions I think,if they are in good condition to start with.

I wonder what temp they use for powdercoating some alloy doesn't like being heated as it loses temper and can fail.
Not saying that it will happen but its not unknown.

Havent a clue but black wheels look like **** if they get rubbed at all.
