    Car is 2009 318D M Sport Sedan.

    Bought it last February, 0 investment in it so far.
    Now there is sticker on Windshield saying Service Due: 131k KM or Jan 2019.

    I just hit 132k KM so I want to get it serviced, this is what's written in the service book:

    I've never booked service with bmw yet and looking at their website - there is a tonn of things you can select to get serviced.

    Car is running perfect, not a single warning light or anything.
    Should I just get oil changed and air filters done or something?

    (Also those who know - what was done in past two services according photo I linked?)

    Also side question: My NCT is due in June 2019, when is the latest date I can do NCT to get it for 2 years? Is it December?

    Thanks.:rolleyes::)

    So why are you bringing a 2009 car to a BMW dealer for a service? That sounds like a bad idea in the first place. The car is almost 10 years old, and BMW dealers are inherently expensive for servicing. A simple oil change and general look around is probably all it needs. It looks to me like the oil and brake fluid were changed at the last service, and rear brake pads the service before that.

    Isnt dealer the only one who will be able to stamp the service book and basically provide "full service history"?

    No, anyone can stamp it and a perspective buyer can still see it was well maintained. I filled out my own book on my previous car and kept all receipts. In my view, better than a vague stamp in book from a dealer who just did an oil change.

    Oh alright, didn't know that.
    All past stamps in Book are from Frank Keane so I assumed only main dealer can do it.

    Thanks.

    The only reason to maintain a main dealer service history on a car outside of the original manufacturer's warranty is for goodwill from the manufacturer to cover some of the cost of a repair due to defect. As the car is approaching 10 years old there is little or no chance that the manufacturer will contribute anything towards the cost of repair on a car that age. Therefore there is no real reason to stick with main dealer servicing. On a car that age I'd be finding a good independent BMW specialist.

    As for what needs servicing, BMWs use condition based servicing so the on board computer should alert you on the dashboard when the car needs servicing and what needs doing. You should also be able to check within the on board computer menu, it usually lists how many miles/km or time to the next oil service/brake fluid change or inspection, etc.
