    Hi,
Just wondering if anyone in here would have any tips. I'm currently trying to prepare for fiber broadband installation, so ensuring duct isnt blocked and possibly getting a draw wire in as there is not at the minute, just existing line.

We have duct going from ETU to either the access chamber on the road in front of the house, or straight to neighbouts pole (which I doubt). Neighbours pole is about 75m away with another house between us. Access chamber is 45m away.

I tried rodding from the ETU end and only got a couple of feet and got stuck at the first bend. Thing is, the bend goes right which is the opposite direction to the road. Not sure if it takes another route other than straight, or if it simply goes right slight before going left again.

I've contacted a few people who've just said eir will sort that, even though for fiber they tell you that making sure the duct is clear is the responsibility of the owner.

So, has anyone any recommendations on how I could trace the route of the duct? And who could sort this kinda of thing? Do ducts from ETU to access chamber usually go straight? From ETU there is about 4m of a gravel/stone driveway it would pass under, the rest under garden.

    Cheers.

What were you rodding it with ??

Plumbing snake from a hire shop might be better option for smaller ducts and tighter turns

I'd rented out a cobra reel. It feels like its hitting concrete/stones at the bottom. And the visible pipe at the ETU doesnt look like the correct pipe for ducting. So I'm not sure if theres some sort of gap between it and the underground duct.
