Thinking of putting down marble effect epoxy flooring in the kitchen and dining room.possibly the hallway too but with different Colour paint. Has anyone any experience with this and what are the pros and cons? Because there is no grouting involved I’m thinking it may be easier to clean rather than regular tiles. But there may be downsides that I’m not aware of?

Curious of what product you’re thinking of using.

Main concern would be subfloor condition, can the slab take such a product. As when resins dry the create a lot of tension.

Secondly , what slip rating will it achieve, for your own safety in hallway with wet feet etc.

Not sure of exact product as of yet, just throwing ideas around at the moment. Floor is solid concrete so I wouldnt say there would be an issue in terms of weight. Slipping hazard is a very good point so maybe not ideal for hallway or indeed the back door area. Its the lack of grouting as easiness to clean that draws me to it..that and the overall marble look to it. I will be getting a professional to lay it down I think. Its not a thing that you can make mistakes on!
