    Hi,
I have applied for help to buy scheme and got an amount of 17,500 euros but if current year is also included it will easily become 20K.

Can I request revenue to count current year also?
Should I submit my end of year accounts soon and apply for HTB again in January for the increase?
I need to sign the house contract by dec 12 so can i pay the developer all the money from my pocket and then ask revenue to give HTB money to me in january after the increase?

Nope, to all of the above.

    2 reasons:

    1) Practical reason. The current year is not yet finished. Neither Revenue nor you know the total amount of tax you will have paid by 31/12/2018, even if you can estimate down to the cent. Presuming you are in employment, your employer will not have returned any details of your income to Revenue. That doesn't happen til next March. If you are self-employed, you won't be able to make a return of income (file a form 11 etc) until next year. There is no provision made for you to file any earlier. It isn't possible.

    2) HTB rules. HTB is limited to the previous four tax years. That's the rule. You cannot add in another year simply because it might benefit you - if that was the case everyone would have done it.

You've got €17500 - that's only €2500 off the maximum amount. Most people don't get near that much.

Hi all, We are in process of buying a new build property since November 2018 and we have provide our HTB code to property agent when the booking deposit were made.
We applied agin at the beginning of January 2019 as the previous HTB is expired. We are still waiting for our new HTB code and my question is can we go ahead and pay the remaining deposit of the house and sign our contracts and after that drawdown the HTB on our current bank account or we need to have our new 2019 HTB code available before signing and paying that deposit?
    Thank you in advance!

Hi. I get half way through the Help to Buy form online and it asks Please apportion the group's total refund available between all group members.

When I try, is says Amount entered is greater than relief available. Please review.

Can anyone tell me where I am going wrong

How much refund are you putting in, and how much relief is it telling you is available? How many group members are there?
