Optimal temperature settings on a gas Combi Boiler

    Hi,

Grateful for any experience on the optimal temperature settings for a condensing gas combi-boiler.

At present the hot water is set to 50C. The radiators are set to 50C.

The house is warm, if anything too warm - just wondering if I reduce the temperature to 45C will the Boiler still work efficiently, whilst saving me money on gas?

I've read that the temperature has to be higher for the boiler to work efficiently, i.e. to condense?

    Thanks
