Resistor pack for 2006 Clio.

    My sister has a 2006 Renault Clio 1.2 and the heater blower hasn't worked for quite some time.
    The wiring plug going into the resistor pack was badly overheated and I found that one of the pins(spades) on the resistor pack had almost burnt away altogether.
    I got a new section of harness from Renault but they tell me a new resistor pack is €140 + Vat.
    The existing pack may be OK but I feel a new one would be preferable due to the damage to pins casing etc.
    Does anyone here know if these resistor packs can be be got anywhere else other than a main dlr .
    Have tried a few scrapyards but no luck.
    This resistor pack has 2 lengths of wire attached - one red , one black.
    Any ideas /suggestions appreciated.

    Common failure, that's why they are hard to find in breakers. I wouldn't go aftermarket on that part as you have already seen they are at risk of going on fire.

    Ebay is you best bet, new genuine form UK on there for £69 or best offer.
