    Hi
Wondering if anybody would have any ideas about this.
I have a Samsung S9+, bought during the summer.
I was on the O2 network 8 years ago.
This was then taken over by Three about 4 years ago.
I switched networks to Virgin media 3 years ago and last week I switched again to Vodafone.
I have kept the same mobile number throughout this time.
However, every time I switch off my phone and it restarts, the Three.ie logo shows on start-up.
I cannot understand how this happens, as I've a Vodafone SIM, new phone and no connection to Three at all.
Would anybody who would have a clue as to why this could occour please give me a heads up.
    Many thanks in advance

You bought it in the carphone warehouse and they gave you a s9+ that was 3 branded? If I was you I'd go back and ask them to look into it and swap it. If you don't want to do that and it annoys you enough you could flash the official stock ROM yourself

Dosser where are you getting Carphone from?

I have a Samsung S9+, bought during the summer.

You bought this privately yeah? The seller got it from Three. Thus the three branding. Its the phone operating system thats branded, nothing to do with the SIM.

    Thanks Guys.

I know any SIM works in it so it's not locked.
I bought it brand new and sealed on Adverts.ie.
Have had it for 6 months and it's perfect.
Apart from the optics of seeing the 3 logo at start-up, does this have any implications for the phone. Is it advisable to get it flashed...?

No implications apart from maybe a few extra pre-installed apps. My3 for instance. They may be removable anyway.

Makes no difference. I'm on 3 but my network start up is actually Orange, from the UK.

Mine was a brand new phone as well.

You can flash it to generic firmware but it really isn't worth the hassle.
It has no impact on the operation of the phone

Did that come from carphone as well?

No phone here has come from carphone.

I meant EE, not Orange. Orange were bought out by EE a few years ago.

Except when it comes to OS/firmware update rollouts. Three, Vodafone and eircom(the worst offender) take their sweet f-ing time rolling these out.

A number of s4 owners on Meteor never got Lolipop. They were stuck on KitKat.

Buy your Android phone from Argos or manufacturer. No bloatware and guaranteed updates.
