Does anyone have any experience with doing this please?
I'm gonna be selling an 07 Accord to a friend over in England in the new year.
It's pretty much worthless over here but he can drive it over there for very little.
Any advice would be much appreciated, thank you.

A bit of a zombie bump.

I understand the process of the rebate but am not aware of anyone personally that has been through it.

    Has anyone gone through it?

Once you can prove it was sold in UK and new owner registers car - gets UK plates and an MOT - how long until you see the money back from revenue?

What a scam, i put in a 2007 accord in the rebate section, says no rebate as omsp value is 690, put the same details in as if you were importing a 2007 and it values the car at 2000.

The minimum Omsp for import is €2000. Every single car you search for will have a minimum of €2000.

Anyway €690 or €2000- still equals zero Vrt refund for export

Yeah but if someone was importing the car they would pay more VRT on €2000 compated to €690. What the guy is trying to say is you can't have 2 different OMSP for the same vehicle just to suit revenue in terms of profit.
