    Hi Everyone,
Im new to here so apologies if I have put this post in the incorrect place.

I have a BMW E92 that is having an issue starting. When put the key in and press the start button, there is a delay and the starter turns over but the engine doesnt start. Then multiple errors appear on the screen in quick succession.

I have brought it to my local indy who scanned it, saw that there were multiple CAN faults (Some related to the transponder I believe which I think is the key). When he cleared these faults, the car starts perfectly straight away. Though within a few days the same thing happens. The mech cleaned all contacts and checked for current going to the fuel pump which when the error was present, there wasnt. The indy advised that he doesnt know what to do from here.

Does anyone have any ideas for next steps or has anyone experienced this issue before?

Depending on where you live a visit to a BMW specialist may be worth a try.

Thanks a mill for the reply. Im in county Waterford where there seems to be a shortage of specialists. May have to go to the main dealer in that case unfortunately. Thanks again.

Have you checked your battery voltage under load?

Fionnsport in Cork is a highly recommended BMW specialist if that was a runner.

Funnily that you mention that, I had checked this recently using the "Hidden" menu and it did seem a small bit lower than expected. 13.6-14.1 volts driving. Didnt think of battery/alternator issues actually.

Thanks a mill for the recommendation. A bit far in the cars current condition unfortunately though.
