when do i have to pay me tax by?

I am self employed, i signed accounts sent to me by my accountant about 3 weeks ago, rang the office last week, was told my accounts have been submitted and revenue will send my a giro in the post to pay.

I have not received this giro. am i ok as my accounts have been submitted or should i be worried i have not paid my taxes yet?

It's pay and file so filing your income tax return and paying any tax due along with preliminary tax for next year are done together. What has your accountant said? Have you a ROS account yourself to login and check the status of your return?

his secretary said they have sent my accounts to revenue.

what is the date is has to be paid by?

i have a ros account, i told my accountant to deal with it for me.

assuming we are talking about income tax for 2017 you had until last Wednesday week to pay.

no need to be waiting for giro either.

yes 2017. will revenue penalize me now? i would have paid it weeks ago no problem.
