Problem uploading photos to Computer

Hi, I have approximately 2000 photos on my iPhone 7 that I would like to upload to my computer. When I link my phone to the computer it is only recognising about 250 photos. If anyone can help with this I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

They could be HEVC format. Windows where late adopting this. That’s win 10. Not even sure about win 7.

I have also had problems uploading them to my pc when I had automatic selected “under transfer to Mac or pc” selecting keep originals sorted it. But than means you will definitely need the HEVC codec.
