We moved into a new house in Dublin 15 earlier this year.
The house does have an alarm fitted but it dosn't seem to be working and we have put looking into this onto the back burner until now.

We now are interested in getting a working alarm (or fixing existing) but are not overly interested in the monitoring element.

Does anyone know of a company who would cater for this?
I've contacted a few (phonewatch, Security.ie & Dome Security) but none are getting back to me

There's a home security forum that should point you in the right direction

I'd highly recommend a self monitored system where you can control everything from an app on your phone. There's an annual fee but it's buttons compared to the likes of Phonewatch and it's great peace of mind to be able to monitor the house when you're not home.

Altor Security Systems, Jason, he posts on that forum but not sure of his username(prob company name or something obvious)

Couldn't recommend him enough and if something goes wrong no issues getting him back out

Thanks a million guys, and sorry i should have checked for an alarm's forum before posting.
The self monitoring app does sound good. I'll reach out to Jason now.

There's a guy near me in Riverwood, Carpenterstown that runs the Stop the Burglar security system business. He doesn't think much of alarms because when the alarm is triggered they are already in. His approach is to stop them getting in. He supplies door and window locks, door reinforcements.
