Renewing expired drivers license over Christmas

    I live abroad and my Irish license expired 8 months ago.
    I will be back in Ireland from 23-31 December and am hoping to renew my license at some point in that week, around 27 or 28 December.

    I was wondering if anyone knows whether the NDLS centers will be open during that week. The website currently allow a booking only up until 20 December.

    Can only make bookings up to 4 weeks in advance online

    email them and ask for the Christmas availability of your local centre info@ndls.ie

    or wait another week or so to try book

    All NDLS offices are open as normal on those dates (albeit with reduced capacity). Just walk in as they are quiet through December.

    If you do not live in Ireland then i do not think you are entitled to renew your license.

    What do you plan to provide for proof of address?
