Tanners in Fermoy would be close enough to you and would have a good selection of bits and bobs.

And Conatys, as mentioned above, would be good to deal with as well.

If you intend phoning John Conaty be prepared as he is v. abrupt.
There will be no chit chat.

I don't know what he is like in the flesh.

He's not as bad in the flesh but if you ring in make sure you know what you want first!

I once called in and said "I need em..." (Brief pause to think) got told "ring back when you know what you need"

Was there lately, he was on phone...

Yeah yeah, well of course you wanted the right hand one.

Because I said I had right hand one.

I hardly wrote down right if you said left. L

    .....

    Hangs up

    .....

    I like the guy

Sounds terrible on phone, but when you see him in action, the bloody thing never stops ringing. He has to be abrupt, sure he's dealing with farmers.ðŸ˜

If love to visit the place sometime. What exactly is there. What's his main business as in is it just new parts or does he scrap tractors as well? Does he sell tractors?

From reading previous comments on here is this the same approach ‘mick king tyres’ uses too ?

Which of them would be the worst ? 😄

I find he has mellowed in recent years. Did I hear a rumour he got married?

In fairness, John Conaty is usually talking to 2 phones at any one time, plus instructing the lad up the yard on what to remove next via walkie-talkie.

And at least one of the 5 customers standing in front of him.

Tanner’s aren’t too shy about pricec either.
