Next gen Zoe to have CCS

Thats a signal to the end of AC43, I guess.

The big question then is, will the next gen Leaf move to CCS or not. I'm still thinking they will stick with ChaDeMo on that but who knows!

This was known for a while but is surely a good decision.
AC 43 was not scalable anyway and was not really workable on the Q90 anyway let alone anything bigger.

CCS is really winning now in the EU with the Tesla announcement and now the Zoe. I can't see the nextgen Nissans sticking to Chademo for much longer, even if they may not like it.

Can't read this now but to be expected really.I recently switched from a Leaf to a Q90 Zoe and you can really only get a decent rate of charge at AC43 if you're battery is well below 50% and reasonably warm.It doesnt bother me too much as for my purposes the extra range and flexibility of using 22kw chargers makes up for it.I do wonder if you'll still be able to charge from AC at 22kw - that would be a perfect combination.

Yeah that's an interesting point. I wonder what the price differential is for Renault to put say a 7kw charger and a 22kw charger onboard? If the aim is to get the prices of these cars closer to that of ICE models, you can imagine them taking out that 22kw charger to be honest, given that 7kw maxes out most home chargers anyway...

Considering the next leaf will have 3 phase support I doubt they will take it out of the Zoe.
Rumored figures were 22kW AC (3ph 400v) and 100kW CCS

" We will keep the 22 kW AC ... it's a huge competitive advantage for our customers, " Eric Feunteun, Director of Renault's Electric Vehicle Program, said a few weeks ago .
