Why is my car insurance going up?

    Howdy,

    I'm mid 30s and drive an 05 Polo (1.2l). I got my licence three years ago and have three years no claims bonus. Car is not used for work.

    2015 (while still a learner) - €1000 but they refunded €160 when I passed test
    2016 - €700
    2017 - €500
    2018 - quotes from €690 - €1000

    Is it just the age of the car? Very frustrating.
