Question about Sky Q

    Hi

I understood from reading the blurb that it was possible to transfer recordings made on your Sky Q 2TB box to the Sky Q app on my iPad so they could be watched while I am travelling. The only condition being it had to be done before leaving home. But when I was talking with a rep at one of the stands yesterday they told me this was not possible. That the mobile app was only for live streaming at home. Can anyone clarify for me if this is possible since it is one of the main reasons for me to upgrade.

Yep it's possible alright. The missus has transferred programs plenty of times to her iPad.
Note: not all recordings can be transferred (licensing issues I believe), but the app will show you a list of what can be moved.

It’s possible, as the poster above says it depends on the programme though.

Also live streaming is possible on many channels (those available on Sky Go) outside the home. At home you can live stream any subscribed channel (*with the possible exception of eir Sport depending on your subscription with them).
