Hi folks. I ordered this on Amazon a week ago at £760, and at the time it said it was on preorder, but has since changed to unknown stock date, so I'm not optimistic.
    https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B07DTJDGN1

I was wondering if there are any similarly good deals around?
    I'm looking for:
    15in full hd
    2 in 1 with stylus
    8 or 16gb ram
Current or last gen i5 or i7
    256gb ssd
    Slot for a hdd
Keyboard with backlight (and maybe numpad)
    Windows 10
    Metal/durable body

I'll be using it for travel, software development, netflix, and photoshop.
I'm becoming enamoured with this one so might end up dropping the extra few hundred on the i7/16gb version. Over the life I'd hope to get out of it, should be a no brainer.

    dell 7000 2-in-1 15

all-metal, same weight as envy or tiny bit lighter actually.
the ssd is an m.2 meaning that there is a 2.5 inch space for another hard drive
the m.2 in there is pci meaning that it's probably faster than the envy one.
the dell has the newer generation chips also compared to the envy

should be discounts over this week.

    https://www.dell.com/en-ie/shop/2-in-1-pcs/inspiron-15-7000-2-in-1/spd/inspiron-15-7586-2-in-1-laptop

by the way - there is not much of a performance bump from i5 to i7 in the mobile u chips - wouldn't be noticeable and not worth the extra cost.
it's less than 10% in benchmark performance tests.

It does look good, thanks! Seems the hp was definitely a misprice at the rate I got it, will probably keep the preorder just in case it does materialise.
The dell with a stylus is coming in at >900, not impulse territory yet :p

there may be a reduction / discount this week with dell. check in every day.

should be 100 off it I would say at some point.

12% off until 25 nov with code LUCKY12

That will get you the i5 version for about 800.

the pen isn't that expensive so not a bad deal overall

Amazon seem to be playing ball so gonna stick with the hp for now. Should get a dispatch notice tomorrow. Thanks for your advice though! Will look into the dell if this falls through.
