Booing of God save the Queen

    Did anyone notice the republic fans booing during ‘god save the queen’ the other night as it was played for n. Ireland, before the classic 0-0 draw.

    Was it justified ? apologies if there is a thread on this already

    I’m a republican, a hater of Ireland’s call and of the opinion that the unionists should just go back to the country they love. Even I think the booing of GSTQ is unacceptable.

    Personally I think the fans shouldn't have given the queen lizzie fan club the chance to whinge about and let their sh1tty anthem finish without saying anything but Coveney and Harris were calling the people who booed idiots on Twitter.

    when croke park was open to the foreign games. england played Ireland in the rugby and there wasnt one boo for the english anthem. I wouldn't boo the anthem but I think its a disgrace northern Ireland have the same one.

    IT's not the NI anthem.
    Northern Ireland do not have an official anthem, but GSTQ is not used in other sports where NI compete.
