Has your trust in the UN diminished since learning Norin O'Sullivan now works there?

It is highly ironic that one of the world's best known human rights organisation has employed this "lady" who launched a prolonged and vicious smear campaign against one of her own employees. She tried to destroy his life. The poor man was on the brink of suicide.

Yet somehow, the UN deems her fit for office in their organisation. How can an organisation like this ever be trusted? I don't think I would ever donate to UNICEF ever again if this is the calibre of employee they take on. I don't think I could ever trust an UN intervention on any matter ever again. What do you think?

it's just another of these institutions set up by politicians and public servants to give themselves further opportunities to suckle at the public teat once their usefulness or credibility at home has expired.

    Gorge rather than suckle.

Over paid, over expensed tax free gorging.

I think that Justice Charleton disagrees with your assessment. You should try reading the report

Saudia Arabia also leads UN human rights commission, not a joke

My trust in that theosophy-infested, corrupted, globalist sham could not diminish any further as it is already at zero. She sounds perfect for the job.

The UN failed in it's remit a long long time ago.

I did - and he may have found nothing but that doesn't mean he is right.

McCabe aside , she dined at the top table of the garda throughout all scandals. There is no way she didn't know.

She is a fraud , only championed because she is a woman and it suits the optics/politics for her to succeed.

My faith in the UN is expired years by now. What exactly do they do? I am not asking that to be a smartass im curious. To me its a bunch of massively overpaid suits with a list of qualifications and fancy job titles but zero power at all. They shake their fists at countries who gas their children and rape/kill their people but outside of stern warnings and using words like outrage and abhorrent, they do nothing. The people who suffered in war zones at the hands of monsters are still suffering and always will suffer. No amount of meetings in rooms with fancy carpets will change that.

The UN was lost at the end of the Korean war,

It hasn't been the same since,

O'Sullivan involvement isn't worth a discussion at any level

The United Nations has not wielded authority since its inception. It is a joke.

In an ideal world, the UN would be the 'World Policeman'. Capable of stopping genocide and keeping the warring factions apart.

Instead we've had emasculated expeditionary forces that crumbled in the face of Serbs, Somalis and Hutus.... opponents little more than disorganised and drunken rabble.

The high water mark was Jadotville. The tiny Irish force held out to the last bullet and suffered no deaths, while inflicting losses on the bigger force.

Shows what an organisation with a mandate and some guts can achieve. Unfortunately the Irish troops were in disgrace for surrendering. What were they expected to fight with? Coconuts?

Doesn't matter a jot if Ms. O'Sullivan is employed or not. Wasn't she vindicated at the inquiry?

It's dropped considerably in my estimation, not that I count particularily.

It looks like Maurice McCabe has not been the only one who has been a target of one of Norin O'Sullivan's smear campaigns.

Having worked alongside UN agencies and also having been offered jobs IN the UN (which I refused), I have no trust in the UN as a body.

This is a long time before the Bauld Noirin got offered the job.

It is staffed (similar to the EU) by sons and daughters of ex-political people and is not fit for purpose but they pay great money.

UN is a mess. Just another pointless bureaucracy.

Seeing as there hasn't been a single finding against her by the Charleton Tribunal, I think you haven't got a clue what you are talking about.

Your post is libellous and gets many facts completely wrong.

She worked alongside Callinan for many years. The notion she wasn't even aware of, if not complicit in, many of that mans vendettas and denunciations is ridiculous.

    Are you pulling the p***?

This would be the UN that ran away and left innocent people be slaughtered in genocides numerous times (See Bosnia, Rwanda for prime examples).
The same UN where officials and peacekeepers have been found to be paedophiles, rapists, thieves, black marketeers, etc.

The same UN that allows one of the most discriminatory countries in the world to be on a UN body dealing with discrimination against women.

Thanks, you now have been thanking Odhinn's posts in replies to the cr** you are writing.

Only an eejit or someone with skin in the game would be defending the actions of that witch.
Much like the same ones that defended her old boss and collaborator callinan.

I am not allowed discuss …

    Well said.

I'm convinced that if Norin O'Sullivan was around in Germany circa 1943, I've no doubt that she would have been an officer in Auschwitz sending people to the deaths in gas chambers. I've never seen an Irish public figure in the last 20 years that represents such an incarnation of evil.

She's either incompetent if she didnt know or vindictive and evil if she did.
    Either way....
