That whole episode could have been shown in a five minute montage. Desperate waste of time.

As i was very bored watching this epsiode I was wondering why no one seems to live in apartment blocks or treeehouses- the zombies can't climb!
I don't mind the new group being escorted by Michonne but the rest of the episode was a waste of time.

    This show is ruined now.
#metoo generation has had its say and now we have the strong woman lead who is in reality a desperate actress and a kick in the teeth for the few people who stuck with it.
Not even going to bother watching this one.

    Yes.

Episode can be summed up in a couple of words.
    - Slow
    - Filler

That was a very boring episode. I mean practically nothing happened.

Felt like total filler before next week’s mid season finale.

This show has an abundance of characters that you forget exist until they show up for a segment of an episode.

Seems to have come around quickly enough. Curious as to what cliffhanger they will go for...

At least the music is getting better. Not many shows will have a Jesus and Mary Chain song on the soundtrack. Without "April Skies", this episode was a 3, but I've elevated it to a 6.

    Total filler episode.

They could have come up with a better way to write Maggie off for the time being (Lauren Cohen hasn't left for good?).

Interesting to see how they received their "X" scars.

Daryl's pet name is brilliant....... Dog (unless I totally misheard his mumbling!)

I actually liked it. Lots of hints on the zombies becoming smarter.

The only thing that really stopped making sense within the rules already set in the show is they continue to walk. It has been established they continue to rot so their legs will have rotted away and there would be no herds.

They should have figured out how to kill them in large groups now, here is an idea a combine harvester

Then there would probably be no show :D $$$$$$$$$

I like this medieval vibe that the show has now.

I don't get Michonne's logic of expecting Hilltop to take in the strangers. Why should Hilltop trust them inside their walls if she won't?

I can understand people saying it was filler but I think it worked well enough. In previous seasons we would have got one of those 'breakaway' episodes which would have focused on Carol/Daryl/Henry or Michonne and the new gang or, heaven forbid, Jesus and Aaron. But getting them all thrown in together, it means the show can move on as one overall arc without the need to go back to some other group next week to see what they've been up to.

It hardly made for rivetting stuff I'll admit but there were some good moments. The new guy Luke talking about his love for musical instruments makes him stand out from just some other dude who walked into the show and will walk out again without viewers knowing a whole lot about him.

And seeing the new group stumble across their zombie-fied friend was handled quite well I thought. Even Michonne killing him quietly showed the humanity which still lies at the heart of the show.

But the pacing of the show still leaves a lot to be desired. They had that chase scene at the end last week and you're waiting to see what happens but we just get a few moments with Rosita and that's it. The momentum built up last week was wasted. I reckon next week will be a good one.

On a side note, there was more characterisation to Dog in one episode than we ever got with T Dog!

Dunno. If they're going to use 'time jump' as a plot device, why not just jump straight to the final episode and wrap this lurching walker of a TV show up?

    It all began so promisingly...

    :(

So this season is slipping back into the quality drain of previous seasons :( Sigh.

So did the writers just start crossing out RICK and COLT PYTHON on the scripts and replace with MICHONNE and KATANA?

    INT. WAREHOUSE - NIGHT

A SHADOWY FIGURE turns around and RICK MICHONNE pulls out his her trusty COLT PYTHON KATANA and take a shot swing.

You didn't miss anything. Whatever happened in between the time jump we can only speculate on. But it will be covered in flashback form.
