All TVs sold in Ireland should be Saorview compatible by now.

    But are they?

    How much compatibility?

    Conform to ALL Saorview specs?

It meets Freeview Play specs so it will work in Ireland for Saorview

    ALL ?

How many products on the Irish market support the Saorview series link feature ?

    Alternatively -
If something is sold as a TV here you must be able to view Saorview or the retailer hasn't a leg to stand on.

I have no idea, do you?

If we accept that most devices do not fully comply, then it is imperative for the buyer to ensure that something they 'think' they will get from a 'Saorview compatible' device, is actually present and usable.

The point is that all devices sold as TV's in this country since IIRC 2 years before analog shut off MUST receive Saorview video and audio, you might not get all the bells and whistles.

AFAIK the original Walker Box and the Saorview Connect do series link.
It just means I've to use AutoTimer or scroll a week ahead on the EPG.
