It really has. That being said we've been served with a couple of heavy hitters so far.

I guess I've gotten greedy. But I do want a big rock act. I want smashing pumpkins or to be even more greedy a AC/DC level band.

Raconteurs are possible but after seeing Jack White last year I want a break.

Radiohead would be the icing on the cake.

I really wonder what huge headliners we have in store. Glad I bought my early bird ticket entry.

    What would you like?

I am seriously tempted by this festival. Last years line up was unbelievable. I was at download a few weeks before and I thought Madrid was a great location for a festival.
There was a lot of complaints about mad last year. Was it really that disorganised?
I others complaining about €9 beers, but that was a “canyon” aka 1 litre, so it’s expensive but not any different to an Irish festival.

No. The gates opened and the data on site failed so they couldn't scan tickets. There were huge queues for a few hours. A total shítshow.

Once that was sorted it was very comfortable. Apart from the shambolic queues at the wine bar.

Lineup is brutal. I went the first year it was on and the lineup was excellent. Last year was excellent as well

40% has been announced and you have

    The Cure
    Smashing Pumpkins
    Bon Iver
    The National
    Vampire Weekend
    Noel Gallagher
    Wolfmother
    The Hives

    Great new bands like

    Tash Sultana
    Greta Van Fleet
    Rolling Coastal Blackout Fever

    And Jon Hopkins.

It's really good so far.. and remember only 40% has been announced. With the organisers saying a couple of big headliners are still to be announced.

I’m at this at the moment .
Line up is a bit weak but I’ll definitely comeback.
    No queues at bars.
    They serve until 4/5 am
Bands are on late in darkness so much better atmosphere/light show .
    No knackers.
Free shuttle bus back to the city .
No queue getting in to the festival .
    Toilets everywhere
    Decent food
Dry conditions underfoot with artificial grass

And the weather is sensational .

    I agree. Weather is mighty.

Prophets of rage, cure, gossip, greta van fleet and Robyn today. Should be good.

And because the bands don’t really start until 7pm you can enjoy the city in the day, sleep from around 6am to midday and then rip the lid off again on the evening. I won’t darken the door of an Irish festival again . We are being ripped off and treated like children .
You can get tinto verrano, vodka and red bull cocktails etc at the festival . Proper spirits and mixers.
Not like the Diageo fests we are served up in Ireland with over zealous stewarding and restrictive policies .

Last week I was at foals and when it was over it was still basically bright out . They stopped serving pints an hour before that .

I’m 34 now but it’s dawned on me I’ve been sold substandard gig experiences in Ireland for the last 18 years or so .

Went to Mad Cool last year and really enjoyed it. Weather and line-up were fantastic. Rotating lineup between main stages makes so much sense too. Don't know why festivals in Ireland and UK don't do the same. Line-up not as epic this year.
Also in terms of value for money it is great, paid €170ish last year which was a steal with the lineup.
There were issues with queues at bars last year but they have obviously been ironed out now.
Enjoy all that are over there.

their new album and live performance is poor. They are like the Mars Volta . There are punters all over the stage.

He was wheeling guest singers on and off all night .

    Disappointed
