Focus fuel gauge problem

    Bit of a bump.

Have an 04 Focus and filled it with petrol today, only for the gauge not to budge from where it was before I filled it.

The car is driving as well as it can for its age, but the dashboard computer does be all over the place on occasion. Earlier today, the speedometer and temperature gauges started going haywire, suddenly dropping to the bottom and then spiking up. Battery light on as well even though the car is working perfectly. I had got this issue addressed a month ago by some specialist in that area, but it has started up again.

Only got the rear brakes serviced yesterday too, so its hardly all connected somehow?

I am clueless when it comes to cars :D

Just guess of course but if electric are acting up in can be bad earth or a faulty wire somewhere.

Did the specialist tell you what the original issue was and how they fixed it?

He didn't as my father acted as the intermediary between our usual mechanic and the specialist that does dashboard computer work. He's a foreign national too and not sure if he's English is great. But it seemed to do the job until it started the kick up a fuss again today.
