I have a car that requires an NCT. The insurance company won't transfer insurance on to it as it has no NCT. how do I get the car to the NCT test centre with no insurance?

    Advice?

    Thanks

Have you tried telling them it's just to get it tested?

Only spoke to my broker so far who said they wouldn't insure car with no NCT.

I'll get back on to broker and say it to them.

I had to do it once before.

I was insured directly with Axa. They transferred my cover for 4 or 5 hours to get it tested.

I got it done before also, despite the guy on the phone telling me he'd been working in the insurance industry x amount of years and he'd never heard of it, when I insisted he went off and came back saying the underwriters agreed with me and I got Insurance for a day.

Have also got temp cover on UK reg cars that have no NCT or MOT.
