Looking for a gaming laptop for a 12 year old. Budget 600 to 800 or maybe 900. Pretty clueless so if anyone spots a bargain around black Friday would be grateful

You're very unlikely to get a gaming laptop for less than a grand. You will be able to put together a pretty decent desktop at that price though

You're better off asking over in the laptop forum:

This is not awful value actually. Looks ugly as sin imo but the specs are decent, it's the cheapest laptop on that site with a full fat 1060 anyway. The mini pound crash today only makes it better value

Ring the Irish Dell outlet, think they new stock is released every day at 2, you need to be on the phone to them when the stock drops so you can get the best deal, there giving 17% off today, you can pick up a Alienware 15 R3 for under 1k or A dell G3 17 for about 820.
You need to call them though, there's no other way to buy them in Ireland. Same warranty as new but your getting a massive saving.

The number is 1800-812-560, they'll tell you what time to call back and haggle away with them.
