    A question on that one which I recorded and watched last night ...


    The thing that puzzled me was when the surgeon drilled the holes into the femur and tibia that acted as guides for the jig he used to cut off the tops of each joint, he just did it by eye.


    Surely the angle of the hole would affect the angle of the jig, and therefore the angle of the flat surface he creates that the implants will rest on.


    I'd have thought that would be quite critical and if not perpendicular to a line that the patient's weight goes through the tibia, would cause problems later.
