Zgemma H2H, Wooshbuild 7 Tuner Configuration

    Hi,

I'm looking to get Satellite and Terrestrial TV in my apartment and so I bought a Zgemma H2H combi box. The apartments management company arranged for a company to install a dish and antenna for all the units combined.

I initally setup the Zgemma at home from an old Sky Dish feed and it got all the UK channels and configured them using ABM. When I took the box to the apartment then to setup Saorview i ran into trouble.

The Saorview channels installed ok and the picture was a bit jumpy, the signal strength was only showing at 50% but I can contact the installers about that and see what might be causing it.

The UK channels though I could not find, i think i need to configure my tuners correctly maybe for both Saorview and FTA channels. Would anyone be able to help with the correct tuner configurations for Tuner A to get the UK channels and then which provider to activate in ABM. When I had it connected to the Sky dish it was a breeze as it pulled in all the correct channels.

what image are you using? and as this has only one sat tuner A you just put it on astra 28e.

do you know techkings support the zgemma and there is a big thread on installing the h2h.

I used Basebuild V2 Wooshbuild and then it updated itself to the latest wooshbuild i tihink after it was flashed on to the box.

Is the Astra 28e the same one that Sky use? I have it set to 28.2E Astra 2E/2F/2G, as I said at home I was able to get all the UK channels including HD versions so I assumed I had that setup and just needed to set Tuner B up to get the Saorview channels.

Yes thats the correct sat, can you check under signal finder to see if you are getting a signal but that image is all automated, did you select satellite and cable for roi from the outset?

And you can do a manual adjustment, I have that image on a zgemma h2s, its on now as I'm waiting on DPD.

Thats what I can see on Signal Finder, I'm not at the apartment now but that was taken last weekend

OOPS, when I click on that I get a black screen with a dash in middle!! I'm using a sly skin, which is nice.

You need to be near box, when you get home do this, menu, setup, service searching, tuner A should appear, you may have to enter a transponder, so go to predefined, arrow right and it changes to user defined, I have this one dvb-s2, 11224, auto, 23000, vertical, fec 2/3, 8psk, auto, pilot auto.

But check tuner config first, tuner A is mode simple, mode, single, sat is 28.2e astra, then no, no. press green

Check sat cable at rear as well.

For saorview you may have more than one transmitter near you.

Great, I will plug in those settings when I get back there and see what channels it can locate. I take it all of Ireland uses the same tuner config settings for Astra and Saorview is more localized? Once I enter those and scan for channels do you know what provider I should be set to, Sky UK or Sky ROI or Freesat?

The Saorview channel list is ok but the picture quality is terrible, again the SNR is only at approx 50% I assume this is signal strength.

So I took the box home and connected it up to my old Sky dish signal and hey presto all the Freesat channels from the UK are available and multiple transponders have a strong signal.

Would I be right saying that the signals received by my Sky dish at home should be the same as the ones at the apartment as they are both supposed to be from Astra 28.2?

If so then maybe the new equipment at the apartment isn't setup correctly.

    Yes

Cheers Randy, looks like I will have to contact the company that installed the aerial and dish and see why I can't get the right signals.
