In a new place and i got some oil delivered today. Turned on the power to the 'boiler'? in the shed. (Two plugs, no idea what the do) Heating came on right away, happy days. But when i went to use the timer inside the house I realised that the timer cant turn the heating on or off, nevermind set times for the heating. Any idea what could be wrong? I have to go out to the shed and cut the power to turn the heating off. Not ideal.

    Thanks for any help

That timer should be overriding those two plugs unless its broken or disconnected. Post a pic of the timer.

its a fairly common way to operate central heating in Ireland 2 plugs 1 each for pump and boiler

sounds like your timer is goosed
