Hi folks, looking to rent a car for about 6 weeks in dublin.

Enterprise quoting 1100 for that period for a super mini type car. Any recommendations on cheaper options?

What 6 weeks? If around Christmas then you won't get any cheap deals for the whole time, look at making a few bookings to cover the 6 weeks to see if you can get it cheaper.

If u are lucky enough to get insurance without ncb for a banger, it will be well in four figures territory. Even 20% of it will be substantial.

Tax the car into top of that for three months min and the whole idea gets less attractive...

Will be from week after next til probably first week in Jan, though i wont need it over christmas, so may look at doing a couple of bookings.

Getting a new car in Jan, so may look at the banger thread, but it'd want to be dirt cheap tbh
