I'm currently temping as a receptionist in an office as I'm between jobs and its very quiet here, I am mostly left to my own devices.

So I'm looking for suggestions of things I can do on/offline to pass the time? It was fun at first but I'm quickly running out of things to Google!

    Join Reddit.
Or pick a topic on history and watch videos and documentarys.

OR look up conspiracy theory's, however, these generally dont do well in pub talk, but will be ll you want to talk about and you end up looking like a looney.

Buff fingernails. Memorise lists of capital cities, etc. for quizzes. Stalk your old schoolmates online. Learn a new language with Google Translate (nursery rhymes are good). Write your autobiography!

Start drinking on the job and report back to us, there was a thread on here a few years ago about that - hilarious.

do some online courses and retrain

it's only you that can change things - unless you want to be bored for the rest of your working life

I find udemy.com is great for course/upskilling also.

But yeah, I would do my best to attempt something productive.

When you say you're between jobs, have you a career in mind that you're already chasing, or are you looking to retrain?

I've been as productive as possible tbh and management are very happy with my performance, it's truly just a very quiet job.

I have a career I'm happy with and am hoping to upskill further in my field so I'm browsing relevant courses now! Surprised I never thought of it actually, I guess I assumed courses = $ :pac:
