Samsung Galaxy A5 USB-C to HDMI adapter

    Hi folks,

    A friend has a Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) - Model SM-A510F with a USB-C connection.

We are looking to connect this phone to a TV (non-smart TV) via HDMI. We did get a generic USB-C to HDMI adapter but but nothing comes up on the TV.

When googling, I can see Samsung do have such an adapter but they quote that it's compatible with just the latest Galaxy phones, not the A5.

Has anyone experience of connecting this phone via HDMI ?

    Cheers.
