Three job interviews

I'm in the interview process for three companies. I finished my last interview with company A last week. I could be getting an offer by the end of this week. Company B is my preference, I should hear back this week if I will get the final HR interview. Company C final interview will be in be next week.

B is my preference, C is my second preference with A my 3rd.

Just looling for any advise on stalling A should they make an offer this week?

Firstly I just want to congratulate you on having a very nice "work problem".

You can ask A for a few days to think about it. That you want to discuss it with your family.

    More practical advice:

What could A change to make them your first preference? Could you ask for that?

I would be upfront with them about other applications should you happen to get an offer. Nothing wrong with it and you can be polite and respectful, just saying that you want to make an informed decision.

"Thank you very much for the offer. As I am still going through the process with other applications, I would like to see them through. I will be in a position to let you know by the end of next week."

usually employers give you a certain amount of time to consider and accept the job.

They dont expect you to say yes immediately.

It's not unreasonable to ask for some time to contemplate an offer, but I would not let it go for too long either. A week should be fine though.

this is the best - you might see an improved offer from company A as well as they will know that there may be other offers on the table
