Stress Leave and back to work

    Hi All,

I have a senior role in a company, here 3 years, always overwhelmed with work and under pressure. At the end of the summer this year a few things happened in my personal life that made me anxious and stressed. I attended my GP and went on medication. However I dis-improved- and she suggested I needed some time off work as my job is so stressful (very much feel like I cannot take time off at any point) and even getting into work in the mornings was causing me anxiety and panic attacks. My directors are not very sympathetic to say the least.
Anyway after 5 weeks off, I have come back to work, on a certified 3 day week for the month of November to ease me back in.
On my 3rd day back I had a meeting with HR and one of the Directors. Extremely formal meeting where they had a list of my 'priorities and deadlines'. One deadline in particular, for a large part of my job, has been drastically reduced- despite me only being here for 3 days a week for this month. I voiced my concerns but I was told in no uncertain terms that I had no choice. TBH the deadline is unachievable and I feel this is deliberate and I am being managed out. In fact its a strong word but I almost feel bullied. The atmosphere is frosty to say the least. I have seen this happen before- either they are on your side or against you, there is no middle ground and no coming back from this with them.
I do not want to have the stress of looking for a new position and I also do not want to leave as I am good at this job and until recently I had their respect. I do not think any of this is fair, I think if I had a physical illness it would be a different story but because its a mental health problem they have issue with this.
But also I think if I bring up my concerns and put them on the record, they will close ranks even more and my work life will become untenable. And lets be honest once the words 'unfair' 'managed out' and 'bullied' are mentioned there is no coming back from that.
Would really appreciate if anyone has any constructive advice, thank you
