Advice 3/4 year old “i3” 1 Tb Hdd

    Just wondered on anyone’s opinion on this .

    i3 Ed generation i3 . 15.6 inch screen , old office laptop a lad is selling ( good reviews seems genuine ) 1 TB hard drive 8 GB ram.
    I’m looking for a very decent second hand , fast laptop , I have good BB.
    Like bigger screen , seeking in around 230 euro , seems a little on the high side considering nearly four years old . Comes with office suite ...
    I know technology changes so quickly things become obsolete in no time . Any views re this type ( Toshiba?) are they reasonable quality or would I be better to go new with the up to date spec that would come with a new one ..
    Just for general googling listen to music etc I want it for
