Lighting in Rural Area

Are there any regulations regarding lighting on private property in rural area?

Neighbour has erected at least 10-15 external free standing lamp posts.

They are on constant from night until morning and there is no shrubbery blocking light. House is opposite road to ours.

They also have extremely bright sensor lights that can be seen at least 200m behind our property.

It is a nuisance as we have to upgrade our blinds to block the light when trying to get to sleep.

Tried local coco website but nothing found.

Possible Planning issue depending on the heights of the posts. Contact Planning Enforcement Section of your Council.
    Also,
Possible nuisance issues, so contact the Environmental Health section of your Council too.

Have you tried talking to them? They might not be aware of how much it's affecting you and can make adjustments.

    Planning permission most definitely required.

and its usually a condition that any domestic lighting should be cowelled away from a public road

Ive seen luminance surveys having the be carried out and planned for planning requirements, Some councils are really hard on it, So you should speak their environments department and planning
