How can I keep my neighbour's cats off my car without hurting them?

My neighbour has three cats, they are always roaming free, I have a car that's in a south-facing driveway, my neighbours on both sides don't.

They are always sitting up on top of the car and often digging their claws in (I have seen it on CCTV several times).

The male cat often "sprays" on the car leaving an unbearable stench on and in the car.

My car is only new.

My neighbour doesn't seem to care and just has the opinion that cats will be cats.

How do I deal with this (no suggestions of hurting the cats please).
