Tower shower water pressure

We have one of those tall tower showers fitted. We have a 4.5 bar pump with gives great pressure in the other standard bar showers.

It sometimes happens that the shower won't run until I give the sink tap a twist

This tower shower has low pressure. It's up and siliconed in. Any suggestions to try to improve the situation?

    Could the filter be blocked?
Could the piping be too narrow / kinked?
How to take it down? Cut the silicone, does it just lift down from a hook?

    Cheers all
