Macbook pro adding two spaces sometimes

    Hi all,
My Macbook Pro (2017 model) has started sometimes adding two spaces when I press the space bar. It doesn't happen every time, and it doesn't happen for me on other computers so I'm ruling out it being me.

When I am typing it sometimes comes out like this - you'll see the extra spaces in between some of the words.

It's starting to wreck my head. Anyone know how it can be fixed?!

    Thanks

Can you remove the space bar to clean it out.

I wasn't sure if this would be a bad idea with possibly voiding the warranty or something?

There is actually a known problem with Macbooks of your generation and the keyboards. Dust or other small bits of dirt can clog the keys and cause the symptoms you note. There is a recall for it and Apple should fix it for free as far as I know:

This is not a DIY job, so I wouldn't go down that route, especially given the above.

Wow that's great thanks very much, looks like this one could be affected. It's a refurbished model bought directly from Apple several months back and this issue only cropped up in the last few weeks, but it seems to match what they say on the website there.
