IIRC LG Combo TVs can display both EPGs but not together. So Saorview EPG is available while watching Saorview channels and Freesat EPG available watching Freesat channel.

Switching between Saorview and Freesat is achieved like this...

Just need someone to verify that it works as described.

Samsung's might be capable but doubtful if any of them have a combined EPG. Only a Linux box will offer a combined EPG

Is series link recording available on the saorview side of that LG tv?

How long does it take to switch between saorview and satellite?

Just a word of warning. I've played around with 2 lg TVs and while it can receive both Freesat and saorview, it's almost a choice between them.
You have to choose the region as UK to get the Freesat order of channels and features. The knock on effect of this is that while the saorview channels tune, the order is pretty screwy.
And this works vice versa if you choose Ireland as the region.
Long story short is, you will get all the channels
you would expect but not "nicely".

    I have a LG 24MT49S in a bedroom.
Yes the Saorview channels will tune to the 800's when you set the country to UK in order to get Freesat
but its very easy to reorder the Saorview channels to any number/way you want. 5mins to complete.

Is there 7 day epg on the saorview side in UK mode?

Yes. I have 2 LG tellies and set both up as UK region. I receive both Saorview and Freeview channels (from NI) and as stated above its quite easy to set your own order to the channels after the initial setup.

The only little issue that you would face with the EPG is that you have to view both a Freeview channel and then a Saorview channels or vice versa in order to get the EPG for both on screen at the same time. For example if you switch the TV on and its at RTE1 and you press the guide button to view the EPG then only Saorview listings will appear. The same applies if the TV is set on a Freeview channel hence the need to view the channels first as described above.

Newer LG TVs have "My Programmes" or "My Channels" when you press the "Home" button

You can add RTE2 and ITV to them so it's very easy to switch between the two services - Image 1

Also in Programme Manager you can move the Irish channels from the 800's to 1, 2, 3 etc like they would be if in Ireland mode from setup - Image 2

I've seen on other LG remotes, you can press "List" and then "Red" gives you the option to switch from Antenna to Satellite and vice-versa
