If you don't mind the expense, then this will work perfectly with Mikrotik: https://www.mikrotik-shop.de/Interfaces/SFP/Kupfer/SFP-VDSL2-Modem-Telco::2192.html

Airwire also have them and will sell them, even if you're not a customer: http://www.airwire.ie/index.php/products/vdsl

I've used them in 951, HAP ac and CCR1016 on OpenEIRs network (not Eir) without problems.

    F2000 bye bye, then.

It's basically plug SFP into Mikrotik board, set port to non-autonegotiate 1gig-FD, create vlan10, create pppoe-session on vlan10, be happy.

And yes, they do support vectoring.

Oh .. and the important thing about Eir and fixed IPs.

Eir do IPoE (IP over Ethernet) and PPPoE (PPP over Ethernet).

When you purchase a fixed IP, you're given username/password as far as I know. So you NEED to use the PPPoE of setting your connection up. Otherwise you'll just get a dynamic IP from the exchange.

Thanks for help Marlow the PPPoE is that for VDSL or just ADSL?

i was never sent a username or password from the static team i waited for 8 days for it and had to call them for it and thats all that was given to me.

No. That should be all across the board. Maybe that's the part that is your problem.

You need to setup the F2000 to get the static IP then note down all the details from it's config pages. IP, subnet mask, encapsulation used etc

Go the Internet tab and take note of all the VDSL settings, then try the Maintain tab for anything else you may have missed.

I don't know if this is helpful or not but it may be:
