No sky signal

    Hi ,
Turned Sky HD+ box on earlier today and was getting 'No signal' message. Did the usual of restarting, etc with no joy.
Left it thinking it might be the bad weather(wishful thinking I know), but tonight I've stripped off the connections and checked voltage between copper cable and the outer casing and it returns .15v

Checking online it seems that it should be over 12v.
I'm suspecting that this means an issue with LNB or damaged cabling?
Would a misaligned dish cause this also?

If you're getting a low voltage reading at the dish end of the cable, then it's more than likely a cable problem, maybe from water ingress.

I assume this is where you checked, with the cable still connected to the receiver, & the receiver powered on? Might seem like a daft question, but you have to ask ...
