High spec VW Polo

Looking to buy a high spec polo or similar.. willing to sacrifice a few years for a better spec.

Do very little driving mileage so petrol will do

Know 0 about cars so wrecking my head, Looking both up north and south ireland.

Possible for around 10e??

Kylemore seems to have a few but reviews seem iffy!!

OP, you need to define high spec as equipment levels on Polos tend to be average for that class of car at best so it really depends what you consider high spec.

you need to be looking at a 2014/ 15 Comfortline+ model or a UK "Match" model to get a decent spec in them, this should be possible in your budget.

They would come nicely spec'd for a small car with touch screen infotainment with app connect, bluetooth, auto lights, active cruise etc. The Polo was facelifted for 2014 and the post facelift cars do feel a good bit fresher on the inside with the updated dash and nicer seat fabrics etc.

The 1.2tsi engine is also a much nicer drive that the 1.0 but a little more hard to come by.

Vast majority of Polo's are not what I would consider high spec but it depends on what you mean...

Yea see what ye mean as I just had a look at other cars.. ibiza, pro ceed etc and seem higher spec.

Spec I mean as in interior look, cruise control, panel interface, alloy wheels. Would imagine heated seats isn't in smaller cars

I bought a Polo Blue GT like the one below but in white. It's basically a baby Polo GTI.

Bit higher than your budget but you might get one in from the UK for a bit cheaper

Spec is decent cruise control, touch screen Bluetooth , auto lights / wipers , seats are nice too. It's slightly lowered and alloys.

If you go 2015 is 150bhp, earlier cars are 140bhp , both 1.4tsi engine which is great , pulls pretty well , not mad fast but it's not slow either. I have manual but you can get dsg also.

It has the active cylinder technology so I get 7l/100km fuel economy or 40mpg which is decent but you could get better if you have a lighter foot.

Exactly what I'm after. Will try and look over in the UK and see the price difference as double what i intended to spend

They are a bit of a niche, I bought mine in May this year from the same dealer as I linked , for 15k 151, bit expensive for what it is but it fit my needs exactly so I didn't mind paying the extra, have no regret 6 months in

Does it have to be a polo op something like an Ibiza fr with the tsi engine looks better is well specced and slightly bigger but basically the same car

No, ibiza or kia ceed etc all fit what I'm looking for. Main thing is reliability.

If you're after reliability then a Yaris would be the best option. Some of those Polos can give trouble with timing chains amongst other things.
