I have just been let go from work after I didn't pass my probationary period, does anyone know if the social welfare contact the employer? or any more info on the 9 week suspension period from claiming?

If you were let go provided you have 2 year full contributions you should be able to claim straight away.

The wait is only if you quit

Possibly. I wouldn't be too harsh on yourself. Often those kind of places are performance reviewed to manage you out to keep wages cost low. Onwards and upwards. Sign on, look into applying for more jobs or upskilling.

Yeah, I couldnt see myself passing probation doing that either. Best of luck in the future.

Have you ever managed to hold down a job for any length of time?

What did you do when you were 5 months into your probation 4 months ago. Do the same again.

Was it an agent or team leader position you got let go from?

It's high time you tried to find out why you keep being let go. You have a track record of this.

I got a letter aswell explaining that i had been dismissed and the reasons for it, should I give this to the welfare and do they call up the employer or just look at the letter?

It's high time you tried to find out why you keep being let go. You have a track record of this.

This intrigued me a bit so I had a look through the OP's previous messages. It does seem that he's had quite a bit of bad luck and this is definitely the time to analyse exactly why he's where he is. This could really help him.
I'd imagine his confidence is down, stress is up and there might be a sense of helplessness / hopelessness.
I think the Welfare can refer you to a mentor that will help you figure out what you want to aim for. Can give you advice on how to apply and retain jobs. Might be some retraining needed.
Call Centres can be stressful, but only the ones where your on inside sales teams. The customer service helpline ones (apart from the actual customers) are usually a bit less stressful.
